For many art can be used as a transformative power that creates and outlet to express experience. Artist like Florida native Danielle Ridley do just that. As a black woman Ridley draws art that speaks to her surroundings. SHe is not afraid to go outside the box of what beauty is. Ridleys work is filled with women of all shapes and shades of black. SHowing that beauty does not come in one size or shape. HIghlighting difference is a way of creating a social outlet through art. Ridley also shows the graphics that many do not want to see in mainstream art. Things like gold chains and galaxies that take the subject out of this world. Ridley is true to her subjects and makes them as colorful and creative as possible. Drawing things that are futuristic and out of this world. She is one of a kind and original in her sharpie details.
